“Therefore many other signs Jesus also performed in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name.”
Saturday’s Bible reading is John 19–21. In my post on the first two chapters of John I gave you an introduction to the book and below is a table of things to look for as you read. Other than that, in light of John’s purpose for writing, if you’ve never read John’s Gospel about Jesus Christ, I want you to discover it on your own.

Early on an Easter morning years ago, my husband woke up in his dorm room and starting with Matthew, he began to read. When he came to John 20, he believed.
John’s recorded these words and deeds of Jesus Christ for an express purpose—that those who read his words may believe, and believing, may have life in His name.
If you’d like to read my story of how I became a Christian, it’s in the heading titled, My Witness. I pray that you, too, will read, believe and have eternal life through Jesus Christ.
